Women We Admire is pleased to announce The Rising Star Women Leaders in Education for 2025
NEW YORK, July 5, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Women We Admire is pleased to announce The Rising Star Women Leaders in Education for 2025. These exceptional individuals represent the next generation of leadership in a field that shapes communities, drives opportunity, and influences future generations. Today's rising stars cultivate empathy, inclusivity, and innovation in every classroom. They are courageous, collaborative, and driven by a belief in the transformative power of education.
Across this industry, women hold many high-ranking positions, including Gina Antoniello, the Academic Director of Undergraduate Programs and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Tisch Institute for Global Sport at New York University (NYU). Antoniello is a sports culture expert and social justice activist. Before joining NYU in August 2020, she spent over a decade working in professional sports, leading marketing-communications strategy, social corporate responsibility, and player development programs for globally recognized teams like the Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets.
We also honor Jodi Collova, the Director of LL.M. Legal Research and Writing and a Professor of Legal Writing at the University of California, Berkeley. Collova leads a faculty of experienced legal writing instructors who teach foreign-trained LLM students common law legal analysis and the U.S. style of legal writing. She hires, trains, and supervises a team of 23 adjunct professors and 21 teaching assistants, as well as develops the curriculum and coordinates Berkeley Law's LLM legal research and writing program, which serves 350 LLM students each year.
Additionally, we congratulate Sandie Birley, the Director of Special Education at Toppenish School District, where she has served with distinction for over a decade. Under Birley's leadership, the district's special education program has transformed into one of Washington State's most recognized models of inclusive education. When she began in 2013, only 33% of students with disabilities received 80 to 100% of their specially designed instruction in general education settings. Today, that number has risen to 96%, spanning inclusive practices from preschool through high school.
Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of The Rising Star Women Leaders in Education for 2025.
