ValleyStar Credit Union hosted its annual all-team meeting on January 25, 2025, at The New College Institute in Martinsville, VA. The event featured company updates and a hands-on charitable activity where employees assembled 25 bikes for donation to the local Boys & Girls Clubs.
MARTINSVILLE, Va., March 25, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ValleyStar Credit Union held its annual all-team meeting on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at The New College Institute in Martinsville, VA. The meeting allowed company executives to update employees on the credit union's status and share plans for the upcoming year. In addition to the business updates, the afternoon session featured a hands-on charitable activity aimed at giving back to the local community.
During the event, ValleyStar employees were divided into 25 teams and worked together to assemble bikes that were donated to the local Boys & Girls Clubs. Each team was tasked with building a bike and creating a mock marketing campaign to "sell" their creation. The top three teams then presented their marketing pitches to the entire company.
A total of 25 bikes were successfully built, and two additional bikes (still in their boxes) were also donated to support the club's mission of serving local children.

The donated bikes have each found a home with a child, allowing them to enjoy their new bikes at their personal residences.
