Davis' designs will be auctioned off to benefit Baltimore Design School
BALTIMORE, July 3, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Orioles today announced a collaboration with well-known Baltimore designer JODY DAVIS that will combine her stylish, wearable designs with the Orioles iconic Birdland Hawaiian Shirt giveaway. Inspired by fans who have long used the Birdland Hawaiian Shirts to create their own outfits, Davis used the 2025 design to create her unique pieces.
Fans will have the opportunity to bid on pieces in the collection, which will feature women's dresses, a gender-neutral top and short set, and a pair of men's pants, with proceeds benefiting the Baltimore Design School. The silent auction will take place at the Orioles Authentics Store, located on Eutaw Street, on Saturday, July 12, from when gates open through the sixth inning.
A Baltimore City Public School, the Baltimore Design School fosters creativity and develops academic and critical thinking skills for students in grades six through 12. One of the only 6-12 public design schools in the country, Baltimore Design School offers programs in fashion design, graphic design, and architecture. A graduate of Western High School in Baltimore, Davis knows firsthand the difference a Baltimore City Public School education can make.
"As a proud Baltimore native who literally grew up with the Orioles, collaborating with the team is a full-circle moment for me," said Davis. "Through my Jody Davis Collection, I'm thrilled to infuse my passion for wearable fashion with the Orioles' iconic spirit, designing looks that celebrate our city and its loyal fans. This partnership is more than fashion–it's about honoring Baltimore's vibrant community and the team that has inspired me since childhood."
Davis will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins.
For the first time ever, the Birdland Hawaiian Shirt will be offered on two dates: Tuesday, July 8, and Saturday, July 12. The popular giveaway is part of "Beach Week," which also features a Yacht Rock Cap giveaway, presented by MASN+, on Thursday, July 10, and postgame Friday Fireworks, presented by SeatGeek, on July 11.
