The appointment marks Mint Innovations first local hire as it expands into the United States market
AUCKLAND, New Zealand, Sept. 23, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- , the clean technology company that's developed a low carbon biotechnology to sustainably produce green metals from e-waste, has appointed Jason Price as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), to further accelerate the company's growth in becoming the world's leading clean technology pioneer as they prepare to expand into the United States market.
Founded in New Zealand in 2016, Mint Innovation developed a sustainable proprietary solution to extract critical metals from electronic waste and produce pure copper sheets and gold ash. Previously, metals retrieved from e-scrap recyclers have required further processing in order to recover raw materials.
Traditional mining of these metals is limited due to a threatened supply of the world's underground resources, presenting an untapped opportunity for Mint Innovation's clean technology to create a more sustainable ecosystem. Stepping into the role of COO at Mint Innovation, Price will be responsible for leading growth for the company as they expand operations from the Australian and New Zealand markets, into the United States. He joins with almost three decades of experience in electronic recycling and critical metal recovery, previously working with some of the world's largest recycling conglomerates – Sims Metal and Sims Recycling Solutions – and most recently as COO for sustainable e-waste recycling company, Camston Wrather. His expertise and expansive network will play a critical role in helping grow the company's presence in the United States within the electronic waste industry.
